I’ve recently been introduced to the Search by Image for Google™ plugin for Chrome – the plugin allows you to right click on an image on a web page and it’ll pass the image through Google Images and bring back a list of sites where the image is being used.
Below is an example of the list returned:
The plugin returns a full list of where the image is being used and is also clever enough to detect if the image has been edited! It’s a seriously impressive bit of coding – I’ve used the plugin to find almost 90 websites that are using my image without any consultation or permission. They’ll all be getting an e-mail soon – if you are looking to make money out of your photography, I’d recommend spending a few hours searching some of your own images.
EDIT: I realise that it’s been possible to drag and drop images on the image search for a long time, this just makes the whole process a lot easier!
